The common
moniker for Special Risks is "Contingency", i.e. the special risk is contingent
upon something happening beyond the control of the assured that causes financial
loss. Again the R.I.B. Group has created a dedicated division to handle
this area. We have the capability to protect companies, for example: against
a financial loss due to the non appearance of an artist for a concert or
movie production, against say too much rainfall or too much sunshine; against
a sporting event, hole in one, or the promotion or demotion of a sporting
team. In short this class of business is one which is constantly evolving
and is available for almost any contingency as long as a financial interest
can be shown. |
